The symposium of the users of the Modular Earth Submodel System (MESSy) is aimed at modellers using the MESSy interface (for more information see https://messy-interface.org) and should provide an overview of the current manifold work as well as technical issues relevant for the modellers. It should provide an opportunity of exchange between researchers of the different participating institutions. The symposium is in the heritage of many EMAC Symposia. The model EMAC (ECHAM/MESSy Atmospheric Chemistry) used ECHAM as the base model for MESSy, while now MESSy is developed further to serve sevaral further base models including CLaMS and ICON.
